L2jMobius Forum & Community Registration Agreement
Introduction
Welcome to L2jMobius. By registering for an account on this forum (the "Forum"), you agree to be bound by this Agreement. L2jMobius is dedicated to the development and discussion of Lineage 2 server emulation. This Agreement is designed to ensure a safe, respectful, and lawful environment for all members.
1. User Conduct
You agree to use the Forum only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Forum. Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to:
- Posting material that is false, defamatory, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, or invasive of another's privacy.
- Posting "adult" material or any content that violates applicable international, federal, or local laws.
- Engaging in spam, flooding, unsolicited advertising, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or commercial solicitations.
- Impersonating any staff member, developer, or another community member.
2. Intellectual Property & Copyright
You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or have obtained written consent from the copyright owner.
- Regarding Lineage 2 Assets: Discussions regarding server development are permitted. However, direct links to pirated client files, proprietary server binaries not licensed under the L2jMobius model, or tools used explicitly for copyright infringement are prohibited.
3. Content Moderation & Disclaimer
L2jMobius staff do not actively monitor all messages and cannot confirm the validity of posts. As such, we are not responsible for the content contained within any post.
- The views expressed in posts are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the views of L2jMobius, its staff, or its owners.
- If you find an objectionable post, please notify a moderator or administrator immediately. While we reserve the right to remove objectionable content, this is a manual process and may not be instantaneous.
- This policy applies to profile information, avatars, and signatures.
4. Indemnification & Liability
You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless L2jMobius, its owners, staff, and related entities from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Forum or your violation of this Agreement.
5. Privacy & Data Collection
Your privacy is important. By registering, you acknowledge and consent to the following:
- IP Addresses: Your IP address is recorded with each post. This data is used solely for enforcing this Agreement (e.g., investigating bans, spam, or security threats).
- Cookies: This Forum places a cookie in your browser to keep you logged in. This cookie contains basic authentication information and is not used to collect external data.
- Account Information: The owners reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any collected information) if required by law, or in the event of a formal complaint or legal action arising from your use of the Forum.
6. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
- You agree never to share your password with any third party, except with a forum administrator for technical support.
- You agree never to use another person’s account for any reason.
- You are strongly advised to use a complex, unique password to prevent account theft.
7. User Profiles
After registration, you may fill out a detailed profile. You are responsible for providing clean and accurate information. The staff reserves the right to remove or edit any profile information deemed inappropriate, vulgar, or inaccurate, with or without prior notice.
8. Sanctions & Termination
Violation of this Agreement may result in sanctions, including but not limited to warnings, temporary bans, or permanent account termination. The staff’s decision regarding moderation is final.
9. Agreement Updates
L2jMobius reserves the right to update or modify this Agreement at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Forum following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
