Downloading and extracting the files
-Download OpenJDK 14 from https://jdk.java.net/14/
-Extract openjdk-14.0.1_windows-x64_bin.zip at C:\Program Files\Java\
-You should now have a C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-14.0.1 folder.

Set JAVA_HOME
- Right click on "My Computer" on your Desktop.
- Click "Properties".
- Click "Advanced system settings".
- Click the "Environment Variables..." button.
- Click the "New..." button.
- Type at Variable name: JAVA_HOME
- Type at Variable value: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-14.0.1\bin

Add the java bin directory to PATH
-At the "Environment Variables" window notice the second list named "System Variables".
-Find and select the "Path" item.
-Click the "Edit" button.
-Add ";C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-14.0.1\bin" at the end of the existing value.

Restart your computer to make the new values take effect.

If you find all that hard to do, you may also use Liberica JDK from bellsoft https://bell-sw.com/pages/java-14.0.1/
This is what I currently use.
