Hello, everyone!

I am excited to join the L2JMobius community. I am a 48-year-old Brazilian, currently living in the UK. I am married and a proud father of three wonderful children. Professionally, I work in technology, specialising in Linux server administration, but I have always had a deep passion for MMORPGs and gaming in general.

My journey with MMORPGs began back in 1997 with Ultima Online, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of exploring many iconic titles, including EverQuest, EverQuest 2, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, and, of course, Lineage 2. My adventure with Lineage 2 started on the official North American servers with the release of Prelude in April 2004 and continued until just before the launch of CT2.6 in early 2011. Over the years, I’ve occasionally revisited the official servers out of curiosity but didn’t stay long enough to fully explore the more recent updates. I’ve also had some experiences with private servers, though they were unfortunately less than ideal.

Recently, I decided to embark on a new learning journey: studying Java programming. As I began delving into this language, I was reminded of the private Lineage 2 servers, which often ran on emulators developed in Java. My research eventually led me to this incredible community.

I believe that participating in and contributing to a project like L2JMobius will be an excellent way to enhance my learning process. I am still in the early stages of mastering the basics of Java and understanding how the emulator system works, so I may not be able to contribute anything too complex at first. However, I am eager to learn and would greatly appreciate any advice on how to study the codebase more effectively to gain a better understanding of its functionality.

Combining my desire to develop a new skill with an old hobby feels like the perfect way to stay motivated. Having fun while learning will be crucial for me, especially when balancing this with the busy demands of everyday life.

I hope to not only gain knowledge about the system but also contribute something useful to the community along the way. I am looking forward to learning from and collaborating with all of you.

As I am just starting my studies, I decided to begin by studying the codebase of "Shield of Kingdom" and "Heart of Volcano". I am unsure if this is the best option, but as a beginner, it seemed to make sense. If you have a different suggestion, it will be most welcome :)

Thank you, and I’m excited to be part of this journey!  :D
