Hello everyone,
I'm interested in creating a Lineage 2 Essence along with two friends - we are all long-time players but new to the actual dev side.
I'm a sysadmin and my friends are devs, but we have limited to no experience with the internals of L2J/Mobius.
We're looking for some guidance to get the project started.
Currently we are testing different server chronicles - but bottom line we'd like to focus on the Essence version.
Sepcifically, we'd like to understand:
- Which Essence files do you recommend to start with?
- What mandatory tools we need to have for proper development
- Best practices for client patching, configuring, geodata and debugging issues
- Realistic time to replicate or rebuild existing systems from other servers
- Is this type of project manageable in 3-4 people?
We're open to paid consultancy or mentoring, ideally from someone with experience.

You literally ask to be scammed and probaly leak the project to people that have no access to begin with.
This section if for selling and buying code etc.

Hey Mobius,
My intention here is to have someone that I can pick his brain in order to understand how everything behind the scene is working.
That's it. No intent to share anything, I have read the rules from each section of the forum and I respect the community's work, these are years over years of knowledge.
My interest is only to have some insights on how things run so I (my devs) can contribute.
