Post by: Mobius on June 23, 2024, 03:40:53 AM
Important Notice for Server Users
This post addresses specific concerns about server users and the expectations for interacting with the L2jMobius project.
It’s important to note that some information may overlap with other topics, but I want to ensure clarity on these points.
This information is crucial for maintaining a positive and productive environment for the L2jMobius community.

Legal Considerations
L2jMobius is a legal open-source project made for fun and learning.
L2jMobius is not a company, manned by numerous programmers, developing a commercial MMORPG server.
It is important to note that making money from running a server using L2jMobius is considered illegal. This project is strictly non-commercial.
Please be aware that I, as the project maintainer, am not legally responsible for any activities related to servers created using L2jMobius.
I endeavor to maintain a legal project environment and adhere to my own development workflow.

Conclusion
I appreciate all contributions to the L2jMobius project, but it's crucial to maintain a respectful and collaborative environment.
Users who cannot adhere to these guidelines may face restrictions or bans to ensure the project's integrity and progress.

By understanding and following these expectations, we can work together to make L2jMobius the best it can be for everyone involved.
Thank you for your cooperation.

*Understanding the Roles: User vs. Developer
In our community, it's important to distinguish between users and developers to better understand the contributions and responsibilities each role entails.
A user primarily focuses on customizing and configuring existing files, such as .ini, .xml, and .html files, to tailor the system to their preferences.
They do not create new code but rather adjust settings and tweak content using the tools and features already provided by the developers.
On the other hand, a developer is responsible for writing new code, developing new features, and maintaining the overall software.
Developers have deeper understanding of programming and system architecture, enabling them to create, improve, and troubleshoot the project.
By clearly defining these roles, we can foster better collaboration and appreciation for the different skills and efforts involved in our community.
